ELLEN BLEIWAS

Ellen Bleiwas’ sculptural practice is rooted in space, slowness, and sensory perception. Based in Toronto, Canada, she holds an MFA from York University and a Master of Architecture from McGill University. She has recently participated in artist residencies including the NARS Foundation (Brooklyn), Robert McLaughlin Gallery (Oshawa, Canada), Take Kunstprojektraum (Berlin), Artscape Gibraltar Point (Toronto), and the School of Visual Arts (New York). Her practice has been supported through grants and awards from the Canada Council for the Arts, Ontario Arts Council, Toronto Arts Council, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Urbanspace Property Group, and the RBC Foundation.
